Biography
Dr. Donna Wicker joined ±«Óãtv Eye Institute in August 2024. She has 37 years of experience at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center, where she provided primary vision care, specialty contact lenses and low vision evaluations. She also participated in research involving risk of falls for visually impaired patients, employment with vision impairment, scleral and gas permeable contact lenses.
Dr. Wicker taught low vision and contact lens fitting to ophthalmology residents as well as medical students. She also supervised optometry students at vision mission trips. Dr. Wicker is excited to help develop ±«Óãtv Eye Institute's Low Vision clinic. She is motivated to help visually impaired patients live their lives to the fullest possible by using optical devices, technology and educational adaptive techniques.
She is active in the Lions Club and will continue local projects as well as international vision missions involving new and donated glasses and ocular health care.
